A Cairo man has been indicted after killing a man in a Federal Correctional Complex in Terre Haute.

42 year old Otha Don Watkins faces new charges of involuntary manslaughter and possessing contraband in prison.

Watkins stabbed another inmate, Carlos Shelton, with an improvised knife during a fight. He faces an additional eight years on his sentence if convicted.

Watkins was originally sentenced to 23 years in 2014 for an attempted armed robbery at a bank in Cairo.
