Registration is set this week at the brand new campus for Mount Vernon High School.
Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner joined others to cut the ribbon on the $76 million facility on Friday. The building replaces 11 buildings at the old school – which was more than 100 years old.
The new building is set up to serve as many as 1,800 students.
School opens in Mount Vernon on Aug. 29.
