A Mt. Vernon man was killed by a large tree limb which fell through his roof during a storm on Sunday.

72-year old James Dotts was killed by blunt force trauma when a limb crashed through the roof and hit Dotts while he was on his bed.

Dotts was pronounced dead when authorities arrived Sunday evening.
