Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White has awarded more than $700,000 to public libraries across the state, three of which are here in Southern IL.

White has awarded $22,307 to the Pinckneyville Public Library to replace two HVAC units as well as window upgrades.

$35,000 was given to the Sparta Public Library for window upgrades and an exterior digital sign.

$33,936 was given to the Rosiclare Memorial Public Library to repair walls due to water damage, re-paint the facility, and install new gutters, a new book drop, and a new circulation desk.

The money for these awards came from Live and Learn Construction Grants in FY 2015 which are designated to help improve local libraries.
