A 3-year old is dead after being struck by a truck in a Carbondale parking lot.

Just before 10 am Friday, officers were called to the 200 block of North Oakland Avenue.

Police say the child was hit while walking through the lot. Officers performed CPR on the child until paramedics arrived. The child was later pronounced dead at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.

No other information regarding the case has been released.
