A Murphysboro man is in custody after an incident took place Sunday evening.

50-year old Shane Pfister of Murphysboro was arrested on charges of Aggravated Battery after he allegedly got into an altercation with 57-year old Charles Hebein.

Hebein was eventually taken to a St. Louis hospital with severe cuts, while Pfister was treated at a local hospital before being taken into custody.
