RANDOLPH CO- On Monday, April 18, police responded to a 3 vehicle crash on Route 150 east of Illinois Route 4 near Steeleville.

According to a release from Illinois State Police, Lynette Koch, 39, of Cutler was driving west on Route 150. Koch had veered into the opposite lane where Shawn Jones, 40, of Sparta and Brent Taylor, 58, of Evansville were driving eastbound.

Koch had struck the trailer being pulled by Jones, continued and struck Taylor’s Freightliner head-on.

Jones was uninjured, and Taylor had non-incapacitating injuries.

Koch was pronounced dead at the scene. Her passenger, 20 year-old Shawn Michael Williams Farmer was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The roadway was closed for nearly two hours as authorities investigated and crews cleaned the scene.
