A Carbondale man has been arrested in connection with a late night shooting on Sunday.

Officers were called to Memorial Hospital of Carbondale just after 11 pm Sunday night after it was reported that one person had been shot. 21-year old Quentin Bailey was arrested around 6:40 pm Monday.

The shooting occurred inside a vehicle which was parked in the 2400 block of East Main Street.

Bailey has been charged with aggravated discharge of a firearm and aggravated battery with a firearm. Bailey was also wanted for previously violating his parole.

The shooting victim is still currently being treated for life-threatening injuries due to the gunshot.
