A Kentucky woman is dead after an accident on Interstate 24 in Massac County.

45-year old Allan Morgan was driving his Freightliner truck around 5:15 pm Friday evening on US Route 45 when he began to merge onto I-24. Morgan turned into the path of a car being driven by 22-year old Krysten Walquist of Paducah.

Walquist was not wearing her seatbelt when the accident occurred, and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Morgan was charged with failure to yield.
