Ill. Governor J.B. Pritzker is unveiling his graduated income tax proposal, saying most taxpayers will see some relief.

If you earn less than $10,000 annually you will pay 4.75 percent. Earn between $10,000 and $100,000 and you pay 4.9 percent. Those making $100,000 to $250,000 would stay at the current rate of 4.95 percent and those making over $250,000 would see a big jump to nearly 8 percent.

The governor says the plan would bring in an extra $3.4 billion a year to the state.
