CARBONDALE, Ill. (WJPF) – Two juveniles are in custody for a shooting investigation in Carbondale.

Police have been investigating after two people were shot in the 600 block of North Robert A. Stalls Avenue last Sunday. The two sustained non life threatening injuries.

Detectives identified one of the suspects of the shooting as a 16 year old male from Carbondale.

On Wednesday February 28, the Jackson County Court issued arrest warrants for the juvenile for two counts of Aggravated Battery with a Firearm and Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm. The juvenile was located the next day, arrested, and taken to a Juvenile Detention Center.

Detectives located a second male juvenile yesterday, March 1. He was arrested on warrants for Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm and Aggravated Battery with a Firearm. He is currently in custody at the Carbondale Police Department.

The investigation is ongoing.
