BUCKNER Ill. (WJPF) – An arrest has been made following a stabbing in Franklin County.

Deputies were called to the residence of 74 year old William Edwards of Buckner Thursday evening and found he was involved in a physical altercation with his son, 41 year old Brian Edwards, who resides at the same residence.

Brian Edwards was suffering from a stab wound to the abdomen and taken to Carbondale Memorial Hospital.

William Edwards was arrested for Aggravated Domestic Battery and transported to the Franklin County jail.

Two other unrelated arrests were made at the scene. 

The investigation is ongoing.
