POPE COUNTY, Ill. (WJPF) — A Brookport man has been killed in an ATV accident.
Illinois State Police say at about 1:30 a.m. Sunday , the 37-year-old victim was driving a Polaris Razor west on Hamletburg Road in Pope County when they lost control, left the road, and overturned. The driver was ejected and trapped underneath the ATV.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
