CARBONDALE, Ill. (WJPF) — Carbondale police need help locating two people connected to an armed robbery.

Police say there responded shortly after 12:00 p.m. Thursday to the 1100 block of East Main Street after a victim reported he was robbed. The victim had agreed to meet acquaintances he communicated with by social media for a transaction.

The male and female suspects got into the victim’s car and the male suspect pulled out a handgun, demanding property. The suspects then left in another vehicle.

The male suspect is described by police as standing 5’11” tall with brown hair. The female suspect is described by police as a 15-year-old juvenile. The suspects may have left the scene in a gold-colored Pontiac.
