SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WJPF) — The Illinois Department of Public Health announced 738 new cases of COVID-19 Monday, including 14 additional deaths.

In southern Illinois, new cases were reported in Franklin (1), Hamilton (1), Jackson (1), Jefferson (1), Massac (2), Perry (1), Randolph (3), Union (1), and Williamson (5) counties.

No new COVID-19 related deaths were reported in the area.

Currently, IDPH is reporting a total of 142,461 cases, including 14 deaths, in 101 counties in Illinois.

The preliminary seven-day statewide positivity for cases as a percent of total test from June 22 –June 28 is 2.7%.
