CHICAGO (AP) — An accountant has pleaded guilty to embezzling millions of dollars from a wealthy northern Illinois family and using the money to finance his luxurious lifestyle.

Sultan Issa admitted Friday in a plea agreement with federal prosecutors that the wealthy family wasn’t his only victim. He also stole millions from individual investors, including $500,000 from a widow who trusted him to invest funds from her late husband’s estate.

The 46-year-old Sultan of Hinsdale admitted to stealing a total of at least $65 million over seven years. U.S. District Judge Andrea Wood set his sentencing for May 21.
