MARION, IL. (WJPF) – An inmate of the Marion federal prison could spend more time behind bars after being caught smuggling drugs into the facility.

42-year-old Steven Snook pleaded guilty to conspiring with an LPN, 36-year-old Jenny Martin, to sneak the drug Suboxone into the prison through the mail with the intent to sell it to other inmates.

Federal prosecutors say that the pair concealed the drug under the flaps of envelopes.

Snook is already serving a 21 year sentence for drug trafficking. He faces another 5 years to be added to the end of that.
