MURPHYSBORO, IL. (WJPF) — A Murphysboro man will spend the rest of his natural life in prison for murdering his parents.

Keith Ritcheson was handed two life sentences Thursday. One for the death of each parent, Burl and Brenda Ritcheson.

Keith lived with his parents at their home in Murphysboro. In August of 2017, he shot and killed them both. He was convicted of murder during a bench trial in September.
