BENTON, IL. (WJPF) — A Marion man will spend a little over 10 years behind bars for his role in a drug conspiracy.

35-year-old Timothy Meadows pleaded guilty to a two count federal indictment charging him with conspiracy to distribute more than 50 grams of meth and distribution of more than 5 grams of meth.

According to a news release from the US District Attorney’s Office, Meadows was involved in the sale and distribution of ice between April 2017 and January 2018. Ice is meth with a purity level of at least 80%.

Meadows received an enhanced sentence because he kept a loaded crossbow nearby while making the drug deals.
