JACKSON COUNTY, IL. — It appears there will be only one name on the ballot for treasurer in Jackson County come November.

Republican candidate Emily Burke announced on social media Tuesday afternoon that she would be withdrawing from the race.

With that news, Democrat incumbent Sharon Harris-Johnson will go unchallenged.
