Brian Burns, the Saline County doctor accused of killing his wife, Carla, then burning her body in an attempt to hide the crime, has lost a wrongful death suit in civil court.

The judge in the case ordering Brian Burns to pay Carla Burns’ sons 11 million dollars. 10 million of that is from Carla’s estate. 1 million because Brian Burns allegedly interfered with her remains.

The verdict also prevents Brian from inheriting Carla’s retirement and pension.

Brian Burns is currently in the Saline County Jail awaiting trial on murder charges.
