A Carbondale woman has been sentenced to house arrest, probation, and pay restitutions following her conviction on healthcare fraud charges.

According to the US District attorney’s Office, Stephanie Patterson defrauded the state Medicaid home services program by falsely claiming and taking payments for personal assistant services that were never rendered.

Patterson claimed that relative who was in prison at the time was performing the assistant services. Resulting in the state wrongly paying out over $81,000.
