Two people are dead following a head on collision in Saline County.

It happened just after 6:30 PM Sunday on Route 45 near Ledford.

According to the Illinois State Police, two pickup trucks collided. The driver of the first truck and the passenger in the second were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the second truck was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
