Today is move-in day at SIU for new students coming to Carbondale. Today also marks the start of SIU’s orientation program – Saluki Start up.

University departments and programs are going to be set up today at the student center to provide information to new students – this evening, students will participate in a scavenger hunt in downtown Carbondale.

The Saluki Spirit Pep Rally will be tomorrow at 6 at the SIU Arena – it will include an eclipse preview. And tomorrow evening will wrap up with fireworks and a movie at Saluki Stadium.

Move in this year was moved UP a few days because of the Eclipse, and there’s lots of activity on the SIU campus already setting up for that.
