A Marion man has been sentenced to three years in prison for stealing from his work place.

Prosecutors say 37 year old Matthew Walther pleaded guilty to stealing at least 10 diamond rings from Midwest Cash of Carbondale – the pawn shop where he worked.

Police say they had video of Walther taking rings out of display cabinets and replacing them with fake rings.

He reportedly was selling the rings on Craigslist to support his drug habit.
