A Percy man has been charged with first degree murder. Authorities say 38 year old Beau Shawgo is responsible for the death of 55 year old Jeffrey Welty, after the two men got in a bar fight at the Hide Away Tavern in Percy on Monday night. Welty died of his injuries yesterday at a St. Louis Hospital.
Shawgo is being held on $250,000 bond.
