A Carbondale woman has been hospitalized after a car crash early Tuesday morning.

The crash happened near the 1100 block of South Wall St. Rescue crews arrived on the scene around 1:30 am. The woman reportedly drove over a barrier, landing upside down in a creek. The woman had to be pulled from the vehicle.

An investigation is underway on what caused the crash.
