Christopher, Ill. – The population of Christopher is growing, in a way.

The Census Bureau is admitting they made a mistake when counting the town’s population in 2010. News 3 reports officials ignored a nine-block area of Christopher during that count, and now the town’s population is rising by 435 people.

Christopher Mayor Gary Bartolotti told News 3 the city has been fighting for the re-count for the last three years.
