Freeman Spur, Ill. – A woman from Williamson County has been sentenced to 75 years in prison for plotting to kill her father.

55-year-old Cindy Stearns was convicted in May of two counts of first-degree murder and aggravated assault with a firearm in the killing of Charles James of Freeman Spur.

He was 73 years old at the time of the murder in May 2011. A second victim survived after a bullet grazed her head.

Two co-defendants have been convicted and sentenced for their roles. 38-year-old Kate Bodie is serving a 50-year-sentence and Bodie’s son, 18-year-old Joshua Dallacosta, is serving a 45-year sentence.
