Pope County, Ill – A woman is severely injured after a fall from a cliff in the Shawnee National Forest.

The Pope County Sheriff’s Office says the woman fell from a cliff at the Jackson Falls Park Saturday.

Officials say be careful in remote areas of the park, because it takes a while for authorities to respond and the incidents are almost always serious.
