Benton, Ill – A Franklin County teenager is accused of multiple crimes.

18-year-old Landon Ellis of Benton was arrested yesterday on charges of attempted armed robbery of a video store on Sunday and a burglary at a restaurant in April.

Police say Ellis displayed a knife and demanded money from the video store but nothing was taken. He is also accused of breaking a window at the restaurant after hours and stealing property.
