Williamson County, Ill – Two vacant homes were the scenes of fires this weekend in Williamson County.

Firefighters were called to one house, on the 1800 block of Freeman Spur road, around 3 a.m. Saturday.

That house was the scene of a murder in 2011. Charles James was murdered in the driveway. His daughter, Cindy Stearns, was recently convicted for her role in that murder.

No utilities were connected in the house.

The other scene was in Colp. Firefighters were called to a vacant house on the corner of Martin Luther King and Ferguson Streets a little after midnight Saturday.

Officials say they are not investigating either fire.
