CARBONDALE, Ill. (AP) — The president and CEO of the Illinois Community College System Foundation says he is retiring after a decade at the post.

The (Carbondale) Southern Illinoisan reports (http://bit.ly/1kscFXn) Ray Hancock first became the group’s administrative leader in 2004.

He led the effort to expand the Harry L. Crisp II Illinois Community College Center in Springfield, which is now home to the Illinois Community College Board.

He also helped the foundation add $800,000 in extra scholarship money.
