WILLIAMSON COUNTY, ILL. – Williamson County Commissioners are set to meet Friday morning to decide if an increasingly controversial, yet still largely symbolic, referendum will be put on the November ballot.

The measure, would let Williamson County voters decide if they want to the county to become a symbolic sanctuary for gun owners.

Getting the measure on the ballot has caused some controversy, with some on the board saying that it’s all politics, directed from Springfield.

The meeting is at 9:00am at the Williamson County Administration Building.
