A boy is dead after a single-vehicle crash Saturday night on US Rt. 45.

According to the Illinois State Police, A car being driven by 35-year old Sarah Schell of New Burnside left the roadway around 10:47 pm Saturday. Schell’s vehicle struck a concrete culvert and overturned.

5-year old Conner Schell was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

Both Sarah Schell and a 3-year old girl were taken to an Evansville hospital after being seen by a local hospital.

41-year old William Schell was in the passenger’s seat and was partially ejected from the vehicle, and was flown directly to an Evansville Hospital.

Funeral arrangements for Conner Schell are pending.
