A Cobden man was arrested on drug charges in Pinckneyville on Monday.

29-year old Jason Smith, who was accompanied by 38-year old Whitney Guerra of Metairie, Louisiana, was stopped by authorities on the north side of the Public One Square.

Smith was charged with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance. His bond has yet to be set.

Guerra was charged with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and her bond has been set at $10,000.

Smith and Guerra were taken to the Perry Co. Jail.
