Marion High School was placed on what is being called a “soft lockdown” yesterday after there was a report of a missing handgun at the home of a recently suspended student.

According to Marion Police, no threat was made towards Marion High School or any specific student.

Officers were present at the school until information came out saying that the missing handgun was found. The suspended student was also found and spoke with investigators.

Marion High School has resumed their normal class schedule.
