A Christopher man is dead after a crash occurred Monday night.

The crash took place just after 10:30 pm on IL Route 14 near Water Road in Franklin County.

Authorities say 34-year old William Barger of Christopher died when 37-year old Kristina Johnson of Whittington attempted to pass a car in front of her while heading Eastbound on Rt. 14 and collided with Barger’s motorcycle, which was headed westbound.

Johnson was charged with improper overtaking.
