One woman is dead after a crash in IL Rt. 154 yesterday.

According to the Illinois State Police, A Ford being driven by 59-year old Barbara Wedemeyer of Baldwin, and a Kia being driven by 74-year old Robert Holley of Steeleville were heading eastbound on 154 after a crash earlier that day knocked down a utility pole.

The Ford drove over downed utility lines, causing the vehicle to roll onto its side, before sliding into the westbound lane. Shortly thereafter, a Peterbilt semi being driven by 21-year old Matthew Farris of Lebanon struck the Ford, sending the car back into the eastbound lane, where the Ford then hit the Kia.

Wedemeyer was pronounced dead by Randolph Co. Coroner Randy Dudenbostel. All three drivers were wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash.
