A man has been killed from a motorcycle wreck.

The accident occurred on I-57, on Tuesday night when 41 year-old James Randolph from Christopher, IL was struck by a semitrailer as he was merging onto the interstate from exit 59.

Sources say an investigation has indicated that Randolph had failed to yield to an International semi-trailer truck. As Randolph continued to pass in front of the semitrailer, he entered into the left lane and hit a different semi-trailer truck, causing him to eject from his motorcycle and was hit from the International truck.

Randolph was taken to Herrin Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
