A Herrin woman is behind bars after an incident of domestic violence early Saturday morning.

According to a police report, 64-year old Cathy Fike of Herrin attacked 58-year old Ed Hobson. The report alleges that Fike struck Hobson in the head with a pipe after an argument, although it is unclear what was actually used to strike him.

Hobson refused treatment by paramedics.

Cathy Fike was arrested and charged with domestic battery.
