Two people are injured after a crash on Interstate 57 in Williamson County.

State Police say a 32-year-old driver from Atlanta and a 40-year-old passenger from Alabama, both men, suffered non-life threatening injuries after their freight-liner truck tractor and trailer failed to negotiate the I-57 southbound ramp off Interstate 24 around 9:47 p.m. Tuesday.

The driver is charged with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

Two people, including an infant, suffered non-life threatening injuries in a wreck earlier in the afternoon Tuesday.

The crash happened around 4:40 p.m. on Route 37 in Franklin County.

The driver of one truck was not injured and charged with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. The driver of the other car is charged with operating an uninsured vehicle and failure to secure a child in a child restraint system.
