The Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) will award $4 million in grants to help local counties prepare for emergencies.
The money will go to 120 accredited city and county emergency management agencies throughout Illinois .
An additional $7 million in funding will go toward helping IEMA provide training courses, emergency response exercise support and emergency planning assistance to emergency responders statewide.
