Six Charged With Manufacturing Meth

Six southern Illinoisans face meth charges.

44-year-old James Scott Rankin and 53-year-old James Leming of Carbondale, 38-year-old Larry Recar and 29-year-old Amye Sandidge of Murphysboro, 23-year-old Daniel Overmyer of Carterville and 44-year-old Dawn Unterfer of Gorham were charged earlier this month in federal court.

The six suspects are charged with crimes that took place between 2010 and last month in Franklin and Williamson Counties. All six will appear in court tomorrow for a detention hearing.

Two other co-defendants in the case have pleaded guilty while five other co-defendants have pleaded not guilty.
