Tyler Smithpeters, the second-year head coach of the defending national champion John A. Logan Volunteers, talked with Matt Varney on Monday before the team held their first official practice of the season.  The pair discussed defending a national title, the turnover Logan faced after winning last year's championship, second-year big man Elliot Lowndes, and more!

The Murphysboro Red Devils went to Harrisburg in Week 7 and proved they are exactly who everyone thought they were, taking the Bulldogs down 40-0.  Matt Varney talked with Red Devils coach Gary Carter about that win and Friday night's huge game against Carterville.

Carbondale boys basketball coach Jim Miller is ready to begin prowling the sidelines after retiring back in 2021.  He and the Terriers tip off the season tonight at the Roxana Hoopsgiving Classic vs. Bethalto Civic Memorial at 6pm.
