Saline County Sheriff’s deputies, working with local police, investigated four burglaries over a 48-hour period last week, leading to multiple arrests and one suspect still being sought.

The Saline County Sheriff’s Office says the first burglary happened early Monday morning near McHaney and Liberty roads. A traffic stop later led to the arrest of Robert Presley, who matched surveillance video from the scene. Deputies say stolen property was found in his vehicle, along with methamphetamine.

Later Monday, deputies responded to multiple burglaries along Illinois Route 142 south of Eldorado. Alicia Barton was arrested in connection with two of those cases, while another suspect, Max Walters, remains a person of interest.

A fourth burglary was reported late Tuesday night, also along Route 142, where Rusty Banks was taken into custody after being identified on surveillance video.
Authorities remind residents to lock vehicles and buildings and to report suspicious activity.
