The Crab Orchard Trojans started the season at 5-0 and have since increased that win total to 6-0.  It was an easy choice for the first Team of the Week of the basketball season.  Matt Varney visited with coach of the Trojans, Jon Brown and discussed the team:

The Johnston City Indians bounced back from an overtime loss in Week 8 with a big 38-6 win at Carmi-White County in Week 9.  Matt Varney spoke with Johnston City head coach Todd Thomas about the bounce back and Saturday's playoff game against Auburn.

The John A. Logan Volunteers won the Region 24 Tournament over Shawnee Community College on Friday.  After the game, Cobie Barnes, Sean East, Cam Alford, and Coach Kyle Smithpeters all joined the postgame show:
