A Carbondale man has been sentenced to jail time after pleading guilty to stealing cars. 45-year old Bernard Adams was sentenced to 16 years per count of possession of a stolen car. Adams was convicted on two counts, and the sentences will run concurrently.

The conviction stems from a police chase in June of 2014 which reached speeds in excess of 100 mph, and reportedly involved various police agencies.

Adams must also serve three years of supervised release after leaving prison.
