SIU Police are investigating an assault on campus.

Police say the attack involved six men and a victim around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday on the east side of the Agriculture building. The victim was treated for minor injuries at a local hospital.

Police say they do not have a description of any of the suspects. Anyone with information should contact the SIU Department of Public Safety at (618) 453-3771.

Campus officials reportedly sent out a campus alert about the attack, but it wasn’t sent until the next morning.
