CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO. (WJPF) — A Cape Girardeau man has pleaded guilty to arson charges. Prosecutors say he tried to burn down a waterpark.

36-year-old Charles Clark pleaded guilty to one count of second degree arson in connection to a February fire at Cape Splash.

Clark started the fire in the pump house and cause about $750,000 worth of damage.

He was sentenced to seven years in state prison.
